NOHOTEL's Smart Home Technology Initiative

What if, while relaxing in your vacation rental, you could turn up the thermostat, play your favorite tune and adjust the lighting - all without having to get up from your comfy spot on the couch?

That’s the power of smart home technology.

Technology has the power to make your stay so much more enjoyable - taking care of the little details to ensure your ultimate comfort. In our properties, we have set up Alexa as your voice-activated virtual assistant.

So, sit back and let Alexa take care of it for you!

All CHIC COLLECTION by NOHOTEL properties are powered by Alexa.

With a simple voice command you can:

  • Control the television
  • Play music
  • Adjust the temperature
  • Turn the lights on or off
  • Open and close the bedroom blinds
  • Lock and unlock the smart entry door
  • Check in and out

Also, Alexa serves as a personal tour guide and friendly host. Just ask and you can learn more about the apartment and building, or get curated recommendations of things to do in the neighborhood.

You’ll even be able to order goods and services via Alexa. Feeling hungry? Ask Alexa to order you a pizza! In the mood for a glass of wine? Order a bottle! You can even ask Alexa to call you an Uber, or have your clothing picked up to be dry cleaned.

To personalize your stay even more, you can link your own Alexa and Amazon Prime account to the Alexa system when you check in. (Don’t worry, your account will be completely deleted from the system when you check out.)

Not only does this technology make your stay more enjoyable - smart apartments are also green apartments. When you have the ability to switch off the lights, lower the thermostat and adjust the blinds so easily - you’ll cut down on unnecessary use of electricity when you’re out exploring the city.

*Please note that some units may not be Alexa enabled.*
